You have to reach the Shimla bus stand by 8:00 am, it is advisable to plan your journey accordingly that you will be there at a given time. The distance from Shimla to Janglik is pretty long so we leave on time. It will take 10 hours to reach Janglik from Shimla. The Journey is appealing as we make our way through Pabbar Valley, the road is not smooth enough but the landscapes are fascinating.

As we drive from Shimla via Rohu, This is the last place where you find ATM and the signal in your phone, so inform your loved ones that will not be in network range after you cross Rohu and make important call before leaving Rohu. Rohu is a small village that has its own charm like any other Himachali Village. After following a muddy uneven path we will reach Tanglu. From Tanglu we will reach Diude, after Diude next stop will be Janglik. We will stay in a ‘Home stay’ at Janglik.

As you start your trek you will witness the beauty of small villages, colourful houses, and the gigantic mountains in the background which completes the scenery. As we walk along the way for some time you see the bird’s eye view of Diude and Tonglu.

After trekking for some time you amidst oak and pine trees alongside the stream. As we trek up the tree line will narrow down and the more spacious sphere will take over. This is called Dayara Meadows. Grassland of yellow flowers everywhere and in the background the mighty Mountains.

After trekking for 5 hours you will reach Dayara Campsite by 2:00 pm. Lunch is served by 3:00 pm. After finishing Lunch you have ample time to explore Dayara campsite, by 5:00 pm hot tea will be served and the dinner time for the day is 8:00 pm. Day 3 of Buran Pass Trek starts with Mount Heavens Yoga session, in which our trek leader will give some tips on yoga. After that pack your beg and ready for breakfast, which is served by 7:30 am. Then we start our trek by 8:00 am.

The trail from Dayara Meadows to Litham takes a dip into the thick forest. If you thought that the meadows are over then nature will surprise you again. The vast areas of meadows are everywhere.

When you move forward you will come across Gunas Pass and the Snow covers peaks of Dhauladhar mountain ranges. After trekking for some hour you will reach a point named Bhoj, where you can see your Litham Campsite. The highlight of the trek Chandranahan Lake stream, after crossing the stream you will reach Litham Campsite.

Once you reached the campsite, you are welcome by a hot cup of Tea. You have ample time to explore the campsite and soak the view of Chandranahan Waterfall. Be ready for the delicious dinner that is served by 8:00 pm. It’s sleep time.

We start our day with yoga session, after having breakfast by 7:30 we move to Chandranahan Lake by 8:00 am.

Chandranahan Lake is a glacial lake which is surrounded by mighty mountains. When you will see this lake it gives you the feeling like a small child is protected by parents. We start with crossing the water stream which we saw before reaching Litham Campsite. We continue upstream till we reach the top of the ridge. Then we walk towards the snout of the waterfall and we have reached Chandranahan Lake. After spending some time here and taking some pictures we move back to Litham Campsite. This excursion to Chandranahan Lake will help you to acclimatize to the Buran Ghati Pass.

After reaching camp, have your evening snack and be ready for dinner. A good night is waiting to relax.

We start day 5 with the Yoga session of 30mins, which helps us to prepare for the trek. Breakfast will be served by 7:30 am then we leave the campsite by 8:00 am.

We climb to the height of 13000ft, which will take 2 hours to complete. The Gunas Pass is visible from this point. The Dhauladhar Range is towering over the pass. You have witnessed the extravaganza beauty mixed with snow-capped peaks and the green grasslands of Litham. The climb which you covered pays off by the view very well. Here you get the first view of Buran Ghati Pass, spend some time and cherish the accomplishment. From this point, Dhunda is only 2 hours away.

The trail to Dhunda is well marked by the shepherd, after trekking around 2 hours till Dhunda ridge top you will see the next day’s adventure view of the mighty pass. After reaching Dhunda campsite, which is the best Campsite of the Buran Ghati Pass.

Day 6 will start early, as you know we have to trek long and cross the Buran Ghati Pass. The maximum altitude gain today is 15055ft at the Pass.

It is the most challenging and nerve-racking day for you. If you are doing this trek in the months of May and June, then the Pass ascend is quite challenging because of the Snow. But in the months of Sept and Oct, Pass ascend is quite easy compared to May and June because there is no snow before the Pass.

After ascending around the borders on snow patched you will reach the Buran Ghati Pass. Capture the moment in your eyes or cameras. The most thrilling part is next to come- The 70-degree steep decline through the pass. It is extremely difficult decent which will be done with help of ropes. It’s impossible to descend without the ropes. The first 150 meters are a real challenge after that you can descend slowly and carefully. After descending around for 2 hours snow lands are finished and the trail dips down to clusters of juniper and some lovely shrubs. The blanket of greenery is all around in the valley. After descending for around 2 hours you will see a river camp right by the hut.

Start your day with a cup of Hot Tea with some chit-chat time; you have finished the most challenging time of the trek. Now the day is pretty easy.

We start the trek around 8:00 am after breakfast. The trail is easy and all the way downhill. After trekking for 2 hours you reached a bridge from there you can see the apple orchard of the Village Barua.

After reaching Village Barua, you will ride back to Shimla. Journey time is 8 to 10 hours.
