If you are a beginner in trekking and looking for an adventurous experience, we suggest you go for ‘Hampta Circle Trek’ instead of ‘Hampta Pass Trek’. ‘Hampta Circle Trek’ will be a great option for beginners in trekking.

Why choose ‘Hampta Circle Trek’….

Hampta Circle Trek is a short and easy trek compared to Hampta Pass Trek, This trek will be completed in 4 days. It will start from Banara village near Jagatsukh. The total distance covered by foot is 14km. This trek is situated in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh.

The trail is very beautiful and less explored, on the way you will get the view of the lofty Bara Bhangal trek, Dhauladhar and, Pir Panjal ranges. Trek starts from Village Banara and ends at Jobra (The same Place where Hampta Pass Trek starts).

Hampta Circle Trek Best time to visit:

Hampta circle trek best time to visit in the months of May and June when a blanket of pristine snow surrounds all over the trail. Day temperature is normal and the sky is clear.

Itinerary

Total distance: 3 km, 3 hours.

Altitude: Baggi (7857ft).

Meals: Lunch and Dinner.

Mode of Journey: 10km by Vehicle and 3km by foot.

Accommodation: Tent

Please report to our trek leader at Manali Mall Road by 8:00 am. It is advisable to arrive a day before in Manali so you will reach on time. We will start our drive from Manali to Banara village via Jagatsukh, trek start from village Banara.

The trail is very beautiful as Jagatsukh is famous for its apple orchard and the ancient Lord Shiva Temple. You will trek through the village and get a glimpse of Himachali Local Life. You will find yourself surrounded by big trees of Oak after trekking for around 25 mins.

You will reach the famous temple of Takshak Nag Temple in Jagatsukh after trekking for around 30 mins. We take a little break here. After spending some time here we trek up into the forest till you reached your first campsite of the trek. It’s time to relax so enjoy.

Total distance: 6.5 km, 5 to 6 hours.

Altitude: Sarah Baggi (10170ft).

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Mode of Journey: 6.5 km by foot.

Accommodation: Tent

As you already know, at Mount Heavens our day starts with Yoga Sessions. In which our trek leader will give you some tips on yoga. It will take 30 mins to complete.

After that Breakfast is served by 7:30 am and we start the trek by 8:00 am. Be prepared for the adventure, you are trekking up today on boulders till the vast meadows. Epic view of Hanuman Tibba in front of you all time. You can also see the entire city from the campsite. The trail is moderate as you will ascend all the way to Sarah Baggi Campsite.

After reaching at campsite rejuvenate yourself with evening tea. Relax and settle your tent for the night and the dinner is waiting for you by 8:00 am.

Our day 3 of Hampta Circle will start with the Mount Heavens Yoga session by our trek leader. After that, be ready for breakfast, which is served by 7:30 am. We leave the campsite by 8:00 am sharp.

Today the trail is pretty and the next the campsite is prettiest. We trek through the forest in and out the whole day. After trekking for an hour you will reach a gushing waterfall from there trail climbs into the dense forest. We have to be cautious while crossing the trail near the waterfall as it is very slippery. After crossing the waterfall you will climb up to Sarotu campsite.

As you think, Last night’s campsite was beautiful. That’s really good. But wait and watch… when you will see the Sarotu campsite, you will blow by its endless beauty. Enjoy the beauty of the campsite with a hot cup of tea and be ready to have a yummy Dinner by 8:00 pm.

Spent some time with your fellow trekkers and good night sleep is also required because we have to move on the next morning.

The Final day of the trek will start with tea-time stories where you spent some chit-chat time with a cup of Tea. Day 4 of the trek is pretty easy, as you have to descend all the way till Jobra. The trail is in a zigzag form which connects to Jobra. It will take 3 hours to reach Jobra. Here a taxi is waiting for you, which drop you in Manali.
